Windswept Triptych

This triptych tells the story of one of the lowest days of my life. I took a walk in the hills on that windy evening and found comfort in the tumultuous weather that matched my mood. Turning from my viewpoint, I saw a deer, a deer I sensed wished that I hadn’t taken his favorite spot. He was giving me an annoyed side-glance, and I suddenly felt a smile on my face. Now, I think of this moment any time I’m very upset and need to calm down, feeling the wind on my cheek and hearing the sound of the grass swaying, the humor of taking the deer’s spot. (The deer is transformed into a goat here, because it was painted for Skykomish.)
