A swarm of responsive, geometric, alien critters (“motes”), created in collaboration with Greg Larson. The swarm’s animation was coordinated among the swarm motes and a master mote using arduinos and radio transceivers.

This project was originally created as a part of the Luminous Garden at Electric Sky, and participated in the Luminous Garden at Electric Sky, Lusio, and Arts-a-Glow in 2016.
Materials include vinyl, vellum, arduinos, radio transceivers, and batteries.
Motes’ colors were animated and coordinateed using arduinos and radios transceivers.
